Confirmation is an immediate preparation program that invites younger and older adolescents to experience God through ritual, reflect on the eight aspects of the Confirmation rite, and become full and active disciples of Jesus Christ.  By supporting the goals of Confirmation catechesis outlined in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Confirmation calls young people to intimate communion with Jesus, lively familiarity with the Holy Spirit, and active responsibility for the Church’s mission while centering sacramental preparation within the parish community of faith.
 
Candidate Book:  In each of the eight chapters, candidates discover one of the elements of the Confirmation ritual, explore real life examples, and enter into activities, discussion and reflection.
         
Catechist Guide: Instructions for younger and older adolescents help you customize sessions to the age and maturity level of your candidates in this easy-to-use guide.
                          
Sponsor Handbook:  Adult reflection and discussion questions for each chapter encourage sponsors to walk with the candidates throughout the preparation time.
       
Program Director’s Manual:  Planning has never been easier!  This comprehensive guide includes prayers, retreats, reproducible pages for parents and the parish assembly, and three mystagogy sessions.
       
Online Resources: The web site provides young people the opportunity to have fun and engage in interactive multimedia that connects to their immediate sacrament preparation and provides parents and sponsors the opportunity to explore further their role in the preparation process. The site also provides additional resources and interactive support to catechists and confirmation coordinators.

The Gift of the Spirit

 
 
The Gift of the Spirit invites candidates to become actively involved in their preparation for the Rite of Confirmation through reflection, prayer, Scripture, doctrinal review and engaging activities.
 
Candidate’s Book:  A better understanding of personal friendship with Jesus and membership in the Catholic community are stressed throughout each of five colorful sections.  Prior to each session, opportunities are provided for reflection and journaling.
        
Leader’s Guide:  The Rite of Confirmation forms the basis for this easy-to-use resource.  A solid theological foundation, reflections for adult leaders, and a host of creative activities are provided to lead young people into deeper understanding and commitment.  Black line master handouts for students and sponsors are included.
           
Rituals and Retreats: Eight blessings and rituals (four traditional and four contemporary) utilize the central symbols of the Rite of Confirmation.  Two retreat plans are included and are easily adapted to meet the needs of younger or older candidates.
